Special 5day training: Syntropic Agroforestry Course
Do you want to (or know people that want to) learn how to produce an abundance of food while contributing to the regenerating of our planet? Mattie (founder Restore Nature Foundation) and Manuel (experienced agroforester) offer a 5 day course in Syntropic Agroforestry facilitated by experienced teacher Felipe Amato.
Inspired by the way forests develop naturally, Syntropic Agroforestry combines ecological, social and economic impact with high productivity. For us this is one of the most promising methods that can be applied in any kind of climate, even in the dry Algarve.

Regenerative planting workhops
Inspired by our Syntropic Agroforestry course, we hereby invite you to another opportunity to get to know this powerful method that is based on ancient indigenous knowledge. Restore Nature Foundation believes Syntropic Agroforestry to be amongst the most hopeful methods in the extreme conditions of the Algarve to:
🌱regenerate the ecosystem
🌱produce a variety of food
🌱tune into natural processes and human’s role in the system
Therefore we invite people to experiment and learn with us as we implement an area in Vinha Velha while sharing the lessons we learned. We go through all the steps of implementation so you can get an idea. You’ll have the chance to learn about:
🌱 the principles of SAF that guided our design process
🌱 which plants were chosen in the design and why these plants were chosen
🌱 our steps of implementation, from preparations to the actual planting.
To add another layer, you will be guided through some simple breathwork exercises to open your senses and tune into your body, the group energy and the natural environment.
Come and join us to work with the earth and take home some inspiration!

Farm & Forest Tours
Learn about the story of Vinha Velha: the start in the 1980's with two idealistic brothers that looked for a place to live in harmony with nature. The present situation where 2 of the daughters of the founder took over and run the farm while focussing on organic food production, eco tourism and sustainable forestry.
